Obituary
Dorothy Ann Dambacher, 82, of Lincoln
passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Dorothy was born on August 7, 1941, the daughter of
Glenn C. and Helen Ida (Hardin) Gill. She married
Gerald Dambacher on March 3, 1961, in Lincoln. He
preceded her in death on July 10, 2013.
Dorothy is survived by her four children, Carolyn
Sue (Jack) Sinkhorn of Emden, Roberta Sue (Rodney)
Colclasure of Lincoln, Peggy A. (Ron Huskins)
Huffman of Lincoln, and Jerry Dean (Debi) Dambacher
of Virden; her siblings, Ruth Stiles of Lincoln,
Roger (Cynthia) Gill of Springfield, Rex (Julie)
Gill of Lincoln, and Georgia Horchem of Lincoln; her
sister-in-law, Esther Gill of Lincoln; her
brother-in-law, Ronald Hulva of East Peoria;
thirteen grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her
parents; one son, Gerald; five sisters, Wanda Cross,
Marilyn McCray, Betty Hulva, Virginia Shreve, and
Shirley Dambacher; her two brothers, Richard Gill
and Robert Gill; and her daughter-in-law, Heather.
Dorothy enjoyed playing Farkle & cards with her
friends. She loved her friends at Friendship Manor,
her family, and her Lord.
Services for Dorothy will be held at 11 a.m. Friday,
December 1, 2023, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Mt. Pulaski, with Rev. Greg Wooten
officiating. Visitation will take place two hours
prior, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. also at the funeral
home. Burial will follow the services at Carlyle
Cemetery in Lake Fork.
Memorials may be made in Dorothy’s name to
Friendship Manor in Lincoln.
