Obituary
Sue Ann Tisdale, 86, of Springfield,
died at 4:20 a.m. on December 2, 2023, at Country
Lane Memory Care.
Sue was born on November 17, 1937, in Peoria, the
daughter of Earl William and Garnet Becker Wurster.
She married Terry L. Tisdale on October 25, 1958, in
East Peoria. He preceded her in death.
Sue was a graduate of East Peoria High School and
attended Bradley University. She worked as a
homemaker raising her children and spent time
teaching vacation bible school at Riverton Christian
Church. Sue enjoyed gardening flowers and
vegetables.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and
brother, David Wurster.
She is survived by her two sons, Eric Tisdale of
Lincoln and Mike (Robin) Tisdale of Springfield; one
daughter, Ann Poole of Charleston, SC; five
grandsons, Trey (Gabrielle) Poole, Ryan Poole,
Stephen (Lesly) Tisdale, Ron (partner Brian) Tisdale
and Michael (Dina) Tisdale; eight
great-grandchildren, Elena, Stephen, Scotty,
Samantha, Emma, Eli, Emerie, and Josie; two
siblings, Helen (Ron) Perry of Creve Coeur, and Ruth
Kidder of Metamora.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive
friends at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023,
until the time of the Funeral Ceremony at 11 a.m. at
Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St.,
Springfield, with Pastor Brian Atwell officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riverton
Christian Church or Land of Lincoln Goodwill
Industries.
