While standing in line to see the big guy, children
and parents could choose from a variety of delicious cookies donated
by Rick Hoefle – Deep Roots Bakery, bags of popcorn from the Logan
Railsplitting Association, and tables of Route 66 stocking stuffers.
Hot coffee vendor Taylor Hoinacki and his crew were
set up across the street from the depot. While the name of the game
was warm beverages, the little camper turned beverage cart was
setting the mood with Christmas Music and those adorable Santa Hats,
personalized for each person.

Santa’s work could not be completed without the love
and support of our military servicemen. Because of all the times
these soldiers – now veterans – saw to the safety of the world,
Santa didn’t miss a chance to share with the Marine Corps League
Detachment 1336 from Lincoln, just how much he appreciates them.
The charm of Santa and Mrs. Clause is infectious. When people get to
spend time with them, they can’t help but smile.
