[December 06, 2023]  MT PULASKI - Donna Jean Stratton, 95, of Mt. Pulaski, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski

Service:  11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home

Obituary

Donna Jean Stratton, 95, of Mt. Pulaski, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Donna Jean was born on July 27, 1928, in Pekin, the daughter of Charles and Verna (Atteberry) Bowles. She married Dallas K. Stratton on January 14, 1947, in Mt. Pulaski. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2008.

Donna Jean is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Steven) Wilson of Lincoln, her granddaughter, DeAnn (Joel) Vinson of Lincoln; and two great-grandsons, Gage and Josh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Weldon Bowles; and her infant sister.

 

Donna Jean was a kind, caring, and loving person. She was a devoted member of Mt. Pulaski Christian Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Services for Donna Jean will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski with Casey McCormick officiating. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in her memory to either the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
