LJHS Trojan Wrestlers open season with double wins

Lincoln Junior High Trojan Wrestlers opened their season at home hosting Beardstown & Rochester. The Trojans won both duals beating Beardstown 69-42 and Rochester 73-33.

Winning two matches for the Trojans were:

Brody Benshoff,
Tatum Guyett,
Beau Melton,
Ian Xie,
Elliott Lynch,
Carson Raabe,
Adam Hendrickson,
and Carter Johnson who wrestled two exhibition matches.

The wrestlers going 1-1 were:
 
Urijah Power,
Jude Snyder,
Bruce Johnson,
Spencer Allison,
Liam Whitehead,
Hunter Henrichsmeyer,
Kristopher Lyon,
Isaiah Baker,
and Elliott Martin.

Wrestling JV and winning two matches was John Kohl.

With one win was Ella Crank, Wyatt Haynes, Landen Klockenga, Wyatt Althiser, and Kristyn Kane.

This team is a very young team with half being first year wrestlers. The coaching staff is impressed with their hard work and determination.

Next up for Trojans Wrestling is a home meet on Wednesday, December 13th at 5 p.m. when the Trojans will host Havana and Champaign Edison.
