Kurtis Downs LTEC Student of the Month for December

Kurtis Downs, son of Ken and Mindy Downs, was named December Student of the Month for the Building Trades program at Lincolnland Technical Education Center.

Kurtis is a senior at Williamsville High School. Mr. John Ford, instructor, has chosen Kurtis because of his great attitude and his hard work. He is highly dependable and has a good sense of construction. He is never scared to take on a challenge.

At Williamsville High School, Kurtis is active in FFA. Outside of school, Kurtis is involved with Boy Scouts and is a volunteer firefighter with Sherman Fire Protection District.

Kurtis’s future plan is to become a firefighter or work as an Operator in a Trade Union.

Kurtis received a Certificate of Achievement and $50 in cash from the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln.
