Obituary
Mary Louise King, 62, formerly of
Lincoln and Indianapolis passed away on Wednesday,
December 20, 2023.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Peasley Funeral
Home in Lincoln with Pastor Tony Shuff and Mr. Bill
Dolan officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of
service on Thursday.
Burial will be at a later date at Washington Park
East Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mary was born on December 1, 1961 in Indianapolis
Indiana, the daughter of Ernest and Helen Eickelberg.
She was a devout Christian woman, and a loving
mother and grandmother. She enjoyed music, sewing,
crocheting, making blankets for newborns, and
shopping. She was the kindest person and most caring
friend. She loved singing songs with her grandson,
and singing along to the radio while driving. Mary
attended many churches, and always kept each
congregation in her heart. She was happiest when
spending time with her family and animals. |
Mary is survived by her children:
Kristen (Daniel) Shipley, Christopher (Cassidy)
King, Kara (Chad) Paul. Two grandchildren: Alan Paul
and Lawson King; one sister: Rachael Clements, two
brothers: Cary Eickelberg and Ike Eickelberg.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations
be made in her name to the ASPCA or Save the
Children.
Peasley Funeral Home is in cahrge of arrangements.
