Obituary
Delmar Buss, 81, of Lawndale,
passed away December 27, 2023, at Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon,
Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow
at 12 Noon with Reverend Eric Norris officiating.
Burial will follow services in Old Union Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Delmar was born June 13, 1942, in Lincoln, IL., the
son of Ernest and Minnie (Lolling) Buss. He married
Dixie (Barnes) on April 17, 1993. Delmar worked for
Ball Incon for more than forty years before
retiring. He was an Avid CUBS fan and collected John
Deere and International Tractors. He enjoyed camping
and spending time with family, especially his
grandchildren. |
Survivors include: his wife Dixie, daughter Dena (Frank) Rea, son
Nathan (Ashley) Buss, grandchildren: Kayla, Breann, Lacy, Aaron, and Henry;
stepsons James (Rachel) Brown and Larry (Elizabeth) Brown; brother Leroy (Dawn)
Buss; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Russell Buss.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be
accepted at the funeral home.
