Obituary
George Raymond Knowles, 66, of
Lincoln, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023,
at his home.
George was born October 22, 1956, in Lincoln, the
son of Kenneth and Clarice (Gade) Knowles.
George is survived by his son, Matthew (Robyn
Johnson) Knowles; daughter, Molly (Nikko)
DiBerardino; grandchildren, Kyra, Layla, Levi,
Lydia, and Aiyanna; brother, Lawrence Knowles;
sister, Karen Lindsey; two nephews, Tim and Josh
McCoy; several great nieces and nephews; cousins;
and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
George enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening,
cooking, and making apple butter. He was an Illini
Basketball and Chicago Bears fan. |
Most of all, he loved to spend time
with his family, especially his children and
grandchildren.
Services for George will be held at
11 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln,
with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating. A visitation
will take place two hours prior to the service from
9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at
Irish Grove Cemetery in Middletown.
Memorials may be made in George’s name to Open Arms
Church.
