West Lincoln-Broadwell brings home 3rd place at State

[February 13, 2023]  The West Lincoln-Broadwell Wolverines won the 3rd place game 33-29 over Royal Prairieview Ogden in the 7th Grade Class 1A State Tournament at East Peoria Central Junior High School on Thursday night.  

The Wolverines were down 7-6 after the first quarter but they were able to come back and tie the game 11-11 at the half.

The Wolverines outscored their opponent 11-10 in the third quarter to take a slim 22-21 lead into the final six minutes of play.

WLB outscored Royal Prairieview Ogden again in the fourth quarter to take the win by a final score of 33-29.

Henry Stoltzenburg and Maddox Whiteman each led the Wolverines in scoring with 10 points apiece.

WLB finished their spectacular season with a 26-4 record.

Congratulations, Wolverines, on ending the season on a winning note and bringing home that hardware!
