Mount Pulaski ends regular season on a winning note

[February 13, 2023]  The Lady Toppers are heading into the postseason tonight riding on a 72-62 victory that ended their regular season last week.

Mount Pulaski and Tri-Valley were tangled up in a tight game with each other in Downs that saw Mount Pulaski lead 16-14 after the first quarter and then pull ahead 28-23 at the half.

By the end of the third quarter the Lady Toppers were clinging to a 46-40 lead.

Alexis Wade poured in a career-high 34 points as Mount Pulaski won on the road by a final score of 72-62.

Wade also had 5 assists and 3 steals.

Alyson Murphy had 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

Hailee Daigh had 7 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Lady Toppers end the regular season with a 23-8 record.

In the JV game Mount Pulaski defeated Tri-Valley 26-17. Elayna Marten led the Lady Toppers with 7 points. The JV team ended their season 12-1.

Mount Pulaski (no. 2) will host LeRoy (no. 6) tonight at 6 p.m. as regionals get underway.
