Obituary
Cynthia DeLaine "Cyndi" Carlen,
58, of Lincoln, passed suddenly January 28, 2023,
after a brief illness.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. A celebration of life will
be held Friday, February 2, 2023, at the Eagles
Lodge #2708, where Cyndi was a member, from 1p.m.
until 4 p.m.
Cyndi was born March 2, 1964, in Mattoon, IL., the
daughter of Lawrence Lee "Larry" Carlen and Cheryl
D. (Oakley) Carlen Danley. She was a respiratory
therapist. Cyndi loved her family and was best
friends with her sisters. She had a great sense of
humor and was the life of the party. She was a
fireball, full of laughter, fun, and spunk. She will
be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her father, Larry Carlen; her
children: Amilyn Williams, Creed Bovolo (Tracy
Lane), Emilee (Jesse) Fitzwater, and Braxtin Walker;
grandchildren: Kelsey, Justin, Nathan, Kaeden,
Grace, Ridge, and Otto; fiancé Ron Carpenter; siblings: Kelly Carlen Bixler (Dave), Stacy Carlen (Jay Babbitt), Amy
(Robert) Yarbrough, Kevin Danley, Kitty (Bandy) Adye,
and Theresa (Trent) Wilkes. Many nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends also survive. |
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother Cheryl
Danley, and stepfather Bob Danley.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the American
Cancer Society.
