Fostering Grace to host informational meeting March 5th
 

[February 23, 2023]    Have you ever thought about becoming a Foster Parent? We have just the meeting for you!

Fostering Grace is hosting a “Basics to Becoming a Foster Parent” information meeting on Sunday March 5th at Crossway Church, 2316 N. Kickapoo Street in Lincoln at 4 p.m.

This meeting is for adults that are interested in becoming a foster parent. (Single or married) You must be able to pass a Federal Background Check to be considered.

We'll help answer questions you may have regarding becoming a foster parent such as:

• Where to start?

• What’s required?

• What do they look for to consider you becoming a foster parent?

• What age child will be the best fit in your home?

• What is respite care?

• Is adoption an option?

• What if adoption isn’t an option?

• You’ll hear stories from an experienced Foster Parent.

• You’ll be able to ask questions to foster parents and social workers.

If your biggest fear keeping you from becoming a foster parent is sending a child home, you’re not alone! Come anyway. There’s no pressure and no obligation. This is just an informational meeting!
