[February 25, 2023]  LINCOLN - Harold Louis Strampp, 90, of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at his home.

Visitation:  Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service:  10 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the funeral home

Obituary

Harold Louis Strampp, 90, of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at his home.

Harold was born October 8, 1932, in Lincoln, the son of Louis and Anna (Gaedtka) Strampp. He married Marilyn Gluick on September 25, 1955, in Lincoln. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2020.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Karen (David) Russell of Mishawaka, IN; son, Craig (Teresa) Strampp of Lincoln; grandchildren, Tanner Strampp and Karlee Russell; step-grandchildren, Trevor (Courtney) Matheny, Justin (Megan) Matheny; and step-great-grandchildren, Tayah, Amelia, Madelyn, and Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marilyn.

 

Harold proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a life-long farmer in Logan County. Harold served the Immanuel Lutheran Church as a member of the choir and brotherhood. He loved eating at the Chinese buffet. Harold enjoyed mowing his yard. In his free time, he was an avid Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, and Case International fan.

Services for Harold will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at New Union Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded by The American Legion Post #263.

Memorials may be made in Harold’s name to Lincoln Rural Fire Department.
