Lincoln Youth Wrestling Competed in the IKWF
Central Section Regional youth wrestling tournament February 26,
2023, in MT Zion.
The result was as follows.
Tot Division (6 & under)
Regional Champions: Jaxon Byrd, Cooper Johnson & Lattrele
Watkins
Bantam Division (Ages7&8)
Champion: Keaton Parish
3rd Place: Coltyn Edwards
4th Place: Jesse McCaine
Intermediate Division (Ages 9&10)
2nd Place: Jayce Naugle at 106 pounds
3rd Place: Carter Johnson At 70 pounds
Also competing were Tatum Bateson and John Kohl
Novice Division (Ages 11&12)
5th Place: Preston Maestas
Carter Johnson, Jayce Naugle and Preston Meastas all advance to
the IKWF Central Sectional Tournament next Saturday at Champaign
Central High School, Champaign. Only Intermediate, Novice and
Senior wrestlers are allowed to advance to the sectional
tournament by placing in the top six at their respective weight
class.
