The year in
photos
The favorite picture from the fourth quarter of
2022 was selected by Karen Hargis. It features a
horse-drawn carriage, an important part of the downtown
Lincoln Christmas Express during December. The photo
catches the snappy attitude of the horse, which seemed
to be looking right at the camera when the shot was
taken. In the original caption, the "quote" from the
horse was meant to verbalize the attitude displayed in
the photo. "I'm pretty, and I know it. With my brightly
colored 'nails,' my Christmas-colored mane dressage, and
pulling a beautiful white carriage, who would deny it?"
