Obituary
Eleanor Lynn Gunderman, 83, of
Lincoln passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at
her home.
Eleanor was born on June 19, 1939, in Lincoln, the
daughter of Elmer C. and Florence (Lauer) Wilmert.
She married Charles Gunderman in Lincoln. He
preceded her in death on August 9, 1980.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Kirsten
(Dennis) Buchanan; and grandchildren, Ariel (Daniel)
Viggiani, Anton Stepniak, Kira Stepniak, Chloe
Buchanan, Noah Buchanan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,
Charles; and sister-in-law, Maggie Pepper.

Eleanor played the piano and organ at
Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln and Christ Lutheran
Church in Clinton. She also played for the residents
of St Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care and Castle
Manor. Eleanor was also a secretary at Zion Lutheran
School for many years.
Services for Eleanor will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday,
January 12, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church in
Lincoln, with Rev. Mark Thompson and Rev. David
Dunlop officiating. A visitation will take place
from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11,
2023, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Burial will follow the service at Zion
Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Eleanor’s name to Zion
Lutheran Church.
