Mount Pulaski built a 15-10 first quarter lead
over the visitors as Alexis Wade poured in seven points.
Grace Davis guided the Lady Toppers offense in the second
quarter with eight points and Wade tossed in five more points as
Mount Pulaski was up 30-26 at the half.
Each of Mount Pulaski’s starters scored in the third quarter and
the Lady Toppers kept a consistent lead, up 45-34.
Wade was 9-for-12 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter
and Mount Pulaski had their biggest offensive quarter of the
game and put away the Spartans 63-54.
Alexis Wade led Mount Pulaski with 29 points. Wade also had 5
rebounds and 4 steals.
Grace Davis had 16 points and 9 rebounds for Mount Pulaski.
Mount Pulaski improved to 17-6 on the season.
The Lady Toppers will host Clinton Monday night. The JV game
will start at 6 p.m. and the Varsity game will follow.
