[January 17, 2023]  On a Monday afternoon contest against NJCAA Division 1 opponent Mineral Area Community College, the Lincoln Land Loggers fell 75-56.

For the second game in a row, a strong start by LLCC was wasted as they couldn't sustain the effort. Over the first 15:00 the Loggers never trailed and led by as many as 10 leading 21-11. Mineral Area was able to finish the half by taking their first lead with 3:00 to go in the first half. The Loggers were able to keep the advantage by going into half up 32-31.

The second half was a different contest. Mineral Area used a quick burst out of the gate and ran away with the game scoring 44 to the Loggers 24. The Mineral Area pressure forced 11 second half turnovers and held LLCC to a twenty-seven shooting percentage from the floor. As Mineral Area pulled away, the Loggers could not string together enough stops and scores to remain competitive and eventually fell by a game high 19 point deficit at the end.

Camren Kincaid led all scorers with 18 and also pulled in a game high 9 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists. Michael Ousley reached double digits in points with 12.

Lincoln Land falls to 5-9 on the season and heads back on the road Wednesday to try to get back in the win column.
