Larson Teacher Education Scholarship Available to LCHS Seniors

[January 20, 2023]  State Bank of Lincoln Wealth Management, a Division of Heartland Bank and Trust Company, has announced applications are being accepted for the 2023 Lucille Flick Larson Scholarship competition.

This scholarship is available to 2023 Lincoln Community High School District #404 graduates enrolling into an accredited teacher preparation program for the 2023 fall semester. The Larson scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters when the student completes 12 or more credit hours per semester and maintains at least a 3.0 GPA.

This scholarship was established in 1994 by Arthur Larson in memory of his wife Lucille. Mrs. Larson taught school for 38 years. She was a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, and she also attended Lincoln College, Normal Teachers’ College and the University of Michigan. Throughout her career, she dedicated herself to excellence in education and provided a caring haven for her students.
