Participants should be prepared to sing 16 bars, read from the script, and complete a short dance audition. Actors selected for the show can look forward to additional public appearances leading up to the start of the LCT 2023 season.

“We’re excited to have theatre veteran Tim Searby directing this production. Cast members always enjoy working with Tim because he has an inspiring ability to develop their talents on stage,” said LCT President Sheralyn Bolton.

Nunsense is a musical comedy about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, much of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating a meal prepared by Sister Julia Child of God. The remaining nuns – ballet-loving Sister Leo, street-wise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia, the Mother Superior Sister Regina, and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert – produce a talent show to raise the money to bury their recently departed sisters.

The catchy songs and irreverent comedy of Nunsense is sure to keep audiences rolling with laughter.

Nunsense performances will run June 22-25 at the Lincoln Community High School auditorium.
