The two teams were tied 11-11 in the first
quarter. Je’na Rentmeister and Aly Murphy led the offense from
beyond the arc.
By halftime Mount Pulaski held a 32-29 advantage. Grace Davis
and Murphy sank 3s in the second quarter while three other Lady
Toppers also contributed to the offense in a big way.
Murphy led the team with 9 points in the third quarter and Davis
hit another three as the Lady Toppers refused to give up the
lead. At the end of the third quarter Mount Pulaski was on top
46-40.
The Lady Toppers sank eight free throws in the fourth quarter
and Wade chipped in five more points to guide the team to the
59-57 win.
Aly Murphy and Alexis Wade each led Mount Pulaski in scoring
with 18 points apiece. Grace Davis added 12 points.
Mount Pulaski improved to 20-6.
In the JV game, the Lady Toppers defeated LeRoy 21-14.
