The
organization's accomplishments include receiving the prestigious
Most Distinguished Honors in Action Project Award, securing the top
position for the region. The Heartland chapter was recognized for
their two-day speaking seminar Hawk Talks. The achievement is
particularly noteworthy given the fierce competition, with the
chapter competing against larger regions such as California and
Texas.
In addition to the Most Distinguished Honors in Action Project
Award, Heartland’s PTK chapter garnered accolades for its
exceptional College Project on the regional level. The Honors in
Action Project encompassed the chapter's meticulous process of
formulating a research question aligned with the chosen theme,
conducting extensive research, drawing insightful conclusions, and
subsequently developing an event or project based on those findings.
The organization's exceptional performance across
both projects led to it being honored with the coveted Outstanding
Chapter Award.

The awards, which reflect the
2022 calendar year rather than the school year, signify HCC’s
outstanding efforts during the Spring and Fall of 2022. Under
the leadership of advisors Cristina Prestin-Beard, Jennifer
Pauken, as well as students Alisa Wright (President), and
Veronica Swanson (Vice President), Heartland's PTK chapter
demonstrated exceptional dedication, innovation, and teamwork in
executing these projects.
