Josie Shivers named Memorial Health Ambulatory Colleague of the Month for June

Josie Shivers, a certified medical assistant at Memorial Care in Lincoln, is the Memorial Health Ambulatory Group Colleague of the Month for June.

Shivers doesn’t hesitate to help out wherever she is needed. During COVID-19, she stepped up and worked in the business office as a screener, receptionist and with the call center.

She frequently assists in Medical Records. Recently, she worked task lists for every office, ran swabs, scheduled appointments, checked patients in and closed the clinic as a receptionist. When a patient came in during the late shift with a crisis, Shivers talked her through it, and the patient left feeling better.

“Josie is always one who will step up to help in any office or area who needs it,” wrote her nominator. “She helps keep everything running smoothly clinic-wide. I am very thankful to be a colleague and team player with her.”

Shivers has worked for Memorial Health since 2019.
