Obituary
Carol Sue Young, 74, of Lincoln,
passed away on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Carol Sue was born on July 23rd, 1948, in Lincoln,
the daughter of Orville and Julia (Shalla) Anderson.
She married David Young on March 17th, 1976, in
Lemore, CA. He survives.
Carol Sue is also survived by her son: John
(Mackenzie) Young, three grandchildren: Carter,
Benson, and Violet, one sister: Joyce (and the late:
Marvin) Anderson-Board, 1brother: Kenneth “Speed”
(Jo) Anderson, two sister in-laws: Nancy Anderson,
and Doris Anderson. She is also survived by her
loving yorkie companion “Studdley”, as well as many
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her
brothers: Robert “Andy” Anderson, Walter “Buggs”
Anderson, Ronald “Bumpsy” Anderson, and twin
brothers: Larry and Gary Anderson.
Carol Sue worked in payroll for the Logan
Correctional Center for 22 years. She was a member
of the Lincoln American Legion Auxiliary # 263 and
was a member of T.O.P.S. for several years. Carol
Sue enjoyed baking for her family and friends, and
arts & crafts. Most of all she loved spending time
with her family, and especially spoiling her three
grandchildren. |
Carol Sue’s wishes were to be
cremated. The family will be having a Celebration of
Life from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 22,
2023, at the American Legion Post #263 in Lincoln.
She will be laid to rest at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln
at a later date.
Memorials may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s
Children’s Hospital.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral in Lincoln has been
entrusted with Carol Sue’s arrangements.
