The
City of Lincoln and the 3rd Fridays committee have planned another
great evening. Whether you want to listen to live music, eat
delicious food, play games, shop, or make art, there is something
for everyone.
The Original Skazz Band will be performing on the corner of Pulaski
and Kickapoo Streets to keep the energy and fun moving. Numerous
vendors will be set up along Kickapoo Street selling merchandise or
food, playing games or sharing information about their organization.
For the adults, a bags tournament will be at the Foxhole Pub N Grub
and the Railsplitter Antique Auto Club will be on the corner of
Mclean and Pulaski Streets.
The Kids’ Corner on Broadway Street will have plenty of fun
activities to keep everyone busy. There will be inflatables and the
Lincoln Park District will be providing games for the kids.
This month there will be henna tattoos, rock
painting, sidewalk chalk at the courthouse, and portraits by artist
Brain Simpson. Artisans will be located on McLean Street with
original handmade work for sale.

As for food, there are plenty of
vendors selling items such as popcorn, snow cones, baked goods,
cotton candy, hot dogs, tacos, ice cream and drinks. Sorrento’s
will have pizza by the slice, Alley-Bi and Mama’s Arcade will be
selling their famous cheeseburgers. Guest House, Top Hat
Creamery, Guzzardo’s, Spirited Republic, Flossie & Delzena’s,
the Rusty Rail and the Foxhole Pub will be open for business as
well.
The committee is excited to continue these events and hope that
all will come for an evening of fun, food, and live
entertainment.
