To celebrate the July 21 opening of "Barbie" the
Arlee Theater will be hosting a pair of fashion shows, as well
as offer themed soft drinks at the concession counter.
Guests have been invited to submit photos of their dressed-up
doll online 7/11 - 7/16, and from July 17 - 20, they can vote on
their favorite dressed up doll on the Arlee's Facebook page -
the Barbie (or Ken) with the most likes by noon on July 20 will
win a pair of tickets to see the Barbie movie for free at the
Arlee!
Additionally, guests are invited to dress themselves up as
Barbie, Ken, or any of their friends and enter in a live fashion
show, taking place at 7 PM on Saturday, July 22 prior to the
movie. These living dolls are encouraged to practice their best
plastic walk, and prepare to strut down the runway before the
show. Participants in the fashion show must check in 6:00 -
6:45pm and be prepared to fill out a card for the announcer, who
will share this Barbie's name or theme, as well as any special
notes you'd like included. Does this Barbie love math? Is she
the life of the party, or too legit to quit? Is she an
astronaut? Well, you'd better decide before the big fashion
show!
Participation in the fashion show
is free, however family-friendly attire is required. All
participants in the 7/22 fashion show will receive a free small
popcorn or Barbie Land Lemonade, as well as the Arlee's respect
for obviously being a diehard enthusiast.
