Deidre Shaffenacker joins the staff at the Oasis Senior Center

[July 20, 2023]  The Oasis Senior Center in Lincoln is pleased to announce the placement of Deidre Shaffenacker as the new Program Director/Office Manager at the Center.

Shaffenacker is coming in after the departure of valued Oasis staff member Amber Davis who accepted an amazing new position at the SIUE Pediatrics department in Springfield.

In her own words, Shaffenacker shares a little bit about herself.

"I am a life- long resident of Logan County. Born and Raised in the country, I love the home-town feel, here in Lincoln. Its been home to me all my life , and I am proud to serve the community and give back to the seniors of Logan County. Working with Seniors has always been a passion of mine.

"I spent my last five years in management at a home care provider where we primarily served  seniors. My soon to be 90-year-oldr old Grandma is my best friend and she comes to the Oasis from time to time.

"I am a mother of a wonderful 8-year-old son and a huge animal lover with two dogs, and a cat.

"Currently, I am enrolled at Lincoln Land Community College completing my degree in Communications.

"In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, swimming, attending local events for small businesses, donating to charities, attending concerts, landscaping, bike riding, and crafting.

"I cant wait to meet all of you."
