Summer
is here, the weather is starting to heat up and we're all looking
for ways to remain cool and comfortable while reducing energy usage.
Corn Belt Energy is voluntarily asking members to
reduce energy usage from 5 p.m. until after 7 p.m. starting Tuesday,
July 25th through Friday, July 28th. this will greatly help
your cooperative keep costs down during this peak timeframe.
A few helpful ways you can reduce your energy:
Avoid using the dishwasher
Delay laundry until after the peak period
Unplug small appliances that are not in use
Adjust your thermostat by three degrees
Turn off unused lights
By reducing your energy dureing these peak periods,
when the cost to puyrchase power is hirer, helps to keep Corn Belt
Energy's electric rates stable and affordable.
We thank everyone for their participation.
