away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at her home. |

Patricia L. Cooper, 83, of Lincoln
formerly of Middletown passed away on Friday, April
7, 2023, at her home.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later
date. Burial will be at Camp Butler National
Cemetery in Springfield.
Patricia L Litwiller was born on March 5, 1940, in
Peoria, the daughter of Roy and Lois (Larson)
Litwiller. She was united in marriage to John W.
"Doc" Cooper on March 19, 1961. He preceded her in
death on June 7, 2009.
She was survived by her children: Rebecca Dixon and
David (Bobbi) Cooper; five grandchildren: Jarryd
(Kimberly Winklemann) Cooper, Caitlin (Phil Wallen)
Cooper, Hailey Cooper, Emma Cooper, and Hanna
Cooper; one great-granddaughter: Lilly Wallen; and
three sisters: Joann Baugher, Nancy (Dick) Springer,
and Deborah Ackerman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents,
and one brother: David Litwiller.
Patricia graduated from Middletown High School in
1958. She had worked as a Lab Tech at Mennonite
Hospital in Bloomington. She was then a co-owner of
the Country Glow Shop in Middletown for many years.

She was a master quilter and Master
green thumb. She was very active in her church and a
member of The Presbyterian Church and the Little
Chapel, both in Middletown, and also Irish Grove
Community Church in rural Greenview. Patricia was
also a member of the Knapp-Chestnut-Becker
Historical Society in Middletown.
Patricia devoted a big part of her life to helping
care for her grandchildren and was known lovingly as
Grandma Cooper by family and friends.
Memorials may be made to her family.
