[June 04, 2023]

Beginning Monday June 5th Lincoln Parkway/Old Route 66 will be closed at the overhead railroad viaduct to allow for maintenance & repair by the Union Pacific Railroad. Both north & southbound lanes will be closed, the roadway will reopen once work is complete. Please follow marked detours if you are traveling through the area.

On Friday IDOT submitted a press release indicating that Keokuk would be closed at the Union Pacific railroad crossing, that isn’t the case. Keokuk will remain open as usual.

A second closure will take place on State Route 121, in Mount Pulaski to allow IDOT to replace water pumps at the railroad viaduct there. This is the reason for the electronic signs along limit Street/Route121. There will be a marked detour for this closure also.

If you Have any questions, please contact the Lincoln Street Department at 217-519-3619.
