On Saturday, June 3rd
businesses in New Holland hosted a block party in honor of the late
Brett Simpson. Simpson was well known and liked by many in the
community. After his passing earlier this year, his family decided
they wanted to do something in New Holland to help preserve his
memory and also bring the community together.
The end result was the block party on Saturday that featured bingo,
bags tournament, water balloons and live music by the Mikey Horn
Band.
The Saturday event was sponsored by the New Holland Café/Frothy
Bottom Bar, the Village Pub, SK Davison, the Village of New Holland,
and Cox Home Improvement.
Donations to support future block parties were accepted and will be
accepted in the future, so as to continue to have a fun, friendly,
free event for all ages for years to come.
