After a try
and a miss, Abraham Lincoln made it to his proper seat
on the Railsplitter Covered Wagon on Friday morning. The
first time off the ground, Abe refused to sit down on
the seat when he was hoisted into the air by RBG Towing.
But he was lowered back to the ground and the rope
around his mid section was readjusted and on the second
try, he slid right into his seat no questions asked.
Then the crew from Matthews Construction took care of
making sure the statue was well secured to the wagon.

story and several photos of the process of bringing Abe
back to his seat.
