Floyd and Christine Schmidt each elected presidents of Elks related organizations

[June 10, 2023]    The Lincoln community has the unique distinction of being the home of a husband-and-wife team that are both presidents of fraternal organizations directly connected to the Illinois Elks Association.

Floyd Schmidt was elected and installed as the Illinois Elks Association president on May 21, 2023, in Springfield.

Christine was elected and installed as the Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan State Association of Emblem Clubs president on June 4, 2023.

The Elks and Emblem Clubs are brother/sister organizations that support Community Service, Scholarship, Americanism, and many other causes.

Floyd and Christine have been active participants in their organizations for many years. They will continue to support each other as they reign as Presidents through 2024.
