Taylor belted a tying grand slam in the sixth
for his 100th career homer.
Taylor started the 11th inning on second as the runner and moved
to third on a passed ball by Chicago catcher Yasmani Grandal.
Miguel Rojas walked and Mookie Betts also walked after a
12-pitch battle with Garrett Crochet (0-1). Freeman then
delivered on a 3-1 fastball.
Luis Robert Jr. and Jake Burger both homered for the second
straight night as the White Sox went deep four times.
Robert and Eloy Jimenez hit consecutive homers in the first
inning and Burger and Andrew Vaughn went back-to-back in the
fourth as Chicago grabbed a 4-0 lead.
Burger slugged three homers in the past two games to raise his
season total to 16, one behind Robert's team-best 17. Vaughn's
blast was his ninth and Jimenez hit his seventh.
Grandal had two hits for the White Sox.
Betts and Rojas each had two hits for Los Angeles. Caleb
Ferguson (4-3) pitched a scoreless 11th.
Chicago starter Dylan Cease struck out 10 in 5 1/3 innings. He
was charged with two runs and allowed four hits and three walks.
The Los Angeles offense was largely silent until the sixth when
Will Smith and David Peralta both hit singles. Cease was removed
after Peralta's hit, and Reynaldo Lopez entered and recorded the
second out.
James Outman singled to load the bases, and Taylor pounded a 1-1
fastball from Lopez into the bleachers in left to knot the
score. It was his 11th blast of the season.
Dodgers starter Michael Grove served up all four Chicago solo
homers. He struck out seven and allowed four runs and seven hits
and one walk in five innings.
