Obituary
Donald A. Riedle, 81, of Mt. Pulaski,
passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at HSHS St.
John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Donald was born August 29, 1941, in Lincoln, to
Clarence and Beatrice (Kemmer) Riedle. He married
Mary Bryson on August 28, 1960, in Lake Fork. She
survives.
Donald is also survived by his 3 children: Laura
(David) Coe of Normal, Stewart Riedle of Mt.
Pulaski, and Michael (Jennifer) Riedle of Mt.
Pulaski. He is also survived by his five
grandchildren: Andrew (Elizabeth) Coe, Alex Coe,
Kayla Riedle, Hannah Riedle, Noah Riedle, and one
great granddaughter: Eliana Coe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two
sisters, and one brother.
Donald was a lifelong farmer in the
Mt. Pulaski area, a member of Lake Fork Christian
Church, as well as the Lake Fork Community Center.
He served on the Steenbergen Cemetery Board, and was
a Lifetime Member of the N.R.A. In his spare time,
Donald enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Most of all,
he loved spending time with his grandkids. |
Funeral Services for Donald will be
11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski
with Isaac Bell officiating. Visitation will take
place two hours prior to the service from 9 a.m. to
11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow
at Steenbergen Cemetery in Mt. Pulaski.
Memorials may be made in Don’s memory to Lake Fork
Christian Church or Lake Fork Community Center.
