Obituary
Joshua Alexander James, 25, of
Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow
at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Josh was born February 3, 1998, in Lincoln, IL., the
son of Albert James and Maureen Melissa (Kouts)
Barnes. He was a gamer and loved going to the gym.
He was shy but had a great sense of humor. He was
hardworking, caring and loving, and had a smile that
would light up the room. He loved spending time with
his family and friends.

Survivors include his brothers Christopher (Ashley) Bober and
Justin (Shelby) Brickey, his sister Allison James (Nate Baker), nephews Caelum
Bober and Braxton Brickey, niece Olivia Brickey, and baby Baker on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather Randy Barnes.
Memorial donations may be made to Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home to assist
the family with expenses.
