Canucks 3, Ducks 2 (OT)
J.T. Miller scored his second goal of the game 20 seconds into
overtime to lift Vancouver to a win against visiting Anaheim.
Miller brought the puck into the Anaheim zone and scored with a
wrist shot from the right circle in his 700th NHL game. Andrei
Kuzmenko also scored, Elias Pettersson had two assists, and
Thatcher Demko made 20 saves for the Canucks, who matched their
season high with their third straight win.
Troy Terry and Brock McGinn scored and Lukas Dostal made 31
saves for the Ducks, who are 4-1-2 in their past seven games.
Red Wings 4, Blackhawks 3
Dominik Kubalik scored the game-winning goal with 4:07 remaining
to help Detroit end a six-game winless streak (0-5-1) by edging
visiting Chicago.
Kubalik broke a 3-3 tie when he slapped a low shot from the
right faceoff circle that got by Chicago goaltender Alex Stalock.
Jake Walman, Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond also scored for
Detroit, and Ville Husso made 17 saves.
Taylor Raddysh scored two goals and Joey Anderson tallied as
well for the Blackhawks, who were outshot 41-20. Stalock stopped
37 of 41 shots.
