The Lady Wolverines had a 7-4 lead when the
Stags made an 8-0 run in set one. Cambelle Hopkins had a couple
huge kills during the run and Allie Grelck topped it off with an
ace, leaving Hartem on top 12-7. The Stags never trailed again
and with Emma Eeten recording a couple kills down the stretch
for Hartem, the Stags won set one 25-17.
The Stags came out swinging early in set two and built a 10-2
lead as Allie Grelck stepped to the service line. Grelck has a
great serve and she recorded a couple more aces. The Stags kept
adding to the lead, going ahead 16-2. Hartem held a 22-3 lead
after a couple aces by Lexi Wetherell. The Stags defeat the Lady
Wolverines in set two 25-5.
Cambelle Hopkins led the Stags with 10 kills.
The Stags improve to 21-5 on the season.
Hartsburg-Emden advances to the sectional tournament in Decatur
on Monday, March 23, 2023. The Stags will play Decatur LSA at
6:30 p.m.
