The
National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)
annually offers an American History Essay Contest open to all
students in 5th -8th grade.
The contest was established to encourage young people
to think creatively about our nation’s great history and learn about
history in a new light. Locally, the Abraham Lincoln DAR Chapter
provided essay information to twelve Logan County schools.
Eight students from Lincoln Zion Lutheran School
submitted entries with two students advancing to the state level.
Congratulations to Ellie Wrage, the Logan County 7th
grade winner and Isabella Pollice, the 8th grade winner
