[March 28, 2023]  LINCOLN - James G. Adair, 87, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Service: Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Cemetery in Waynesville.

James G. Adair, 87, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Graveside services for Mr. Adair will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Cemetery in Waynesville.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

James G. Adair was born on December 2, 1935 in Waynesville the son of Robert Gilmore and Alberta Pearl Gelsthorpe Adair. He was united in marriage to Joyce Langley on July 31, 1954. She preceded him in death on June 18, 1979. He later married Betty Mearida Redman on January 1, 1980. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Debbie Adair, Bob (Amy) Adair, Rhonda (Dave) Westerfield, Terry (Camille) Redman, Steven Redman. One sister: Jane (Gene) Bryson. Eleven grandchildren: Teresa McLane, Justin Adair, James (Crystal) Adair, Adam (Brooke) Davis, Matthew Westerfield, Tim (Melissa) Westerfield, Echo (Rob) Staton, Charleah (James) Thompson, Logan Redman, Samantha Redman, Joseph Redman. Several great grandchildren and two great great grandchldren.

Funeral Director

Jim graduated from the Waynesville High School in 1954. He retired from Cutler Hammer, Inc.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County or the American Lung Association.
