Obituary
Carolyn S. Sanders, 81, of Atlanta
passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at HSHS
Saint John's Hospital in Springfield.
Graveside services for Mrs. Sanders will be held on
Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Zion
Cemetery in Lincoln with Mr. Jim Webster
officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
Carolyn Sue Deverman was born on October 13, 1941 in
Lincoln the daughter of Walter and Lydia Last
Deverman. She was united in marriage to Donald
William Sanders in August , 1964. He preceded her in
death on April 14, 2013.
She is survived by her son: Jason (Alicia) Sanders,
Son -in-law CJ Knuffman, one sister: Doris (John)
Irwin, one brother: Robert (Dorothy) Deverman, Six
grandchildren: Lydia, Isabella, and Cyril Knuffman,
Jenna, Anna,and Julie Sanders. Several nieces and
nephews also survive. |
She was preceded in death by her
daughter: Susan Knuffman, one brother: Darrell L.
Deverman.
Carolyn graduated from the Lincoln Community High
School in 1959.
She farmed with her husband in the Atlanta and
Lincoln area for many years. She also had worked at
the Steston China Factory, Lehn and Fink, Dockside
Marina in Clinton and RGIS.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Fire
Department.
Quiram Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family
with arrangements.
