The
Health Sciences Dean is responsible for operational planning, staff
supervision and evaluation, developing and maintaining articulation
agreements between Heartland Community College and other
institutions of higher learning, and cultivating donors to help
facilitate fundraising and grant-seeking opportunities.
Pyle first joined HCC as the Associate Dean of Health Sciences in
2019. She holds a Doctorate degree in Audiology from the Arizona
School of Health Sciences, a Master of Arts, Audiology from Northern
Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Science, Communicative
Disorders also from Northern Illinois University.
The Health Sciences division at Heartland includes programs in
Nursing, Radiography, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Assistant,
Physical Therapy Assistant and a number of other degree and
certification programs.
A Health Sciences Information Night and Career Fair will be held at
Heartland on Thursday, April 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the
Normal campus (1500 W. Raab Rd.). The event will include a
presentation for prospective students covering the selective
admission process, financial aid, and how to apply for scholarships.
There will be lab tours, meetings with faculty, and potential
students will leave with all the details necessary to start the path
to a future as a healthcare professional.

Recruiters and human resource
representatives from area healthcare facilities and
organizations will be there to speak with current and
prospective students about the many great job opportunities and
potential tuition reimbursement opportunities.
