Alberta Carol "Bert" (Curry) Gray, 76, of Lincoln, passed away April 26, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2023 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with burial following in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Alberta was born October 26, 1946, in Lincoln, IL., the daughter of Harold James Curry and Doris Mae (Williamson) Curry. She married Paul Wayne Gray on December 5, 1970. He preceded her in death.

She retired from State Farm Insurance after 40 years of service. After retirement she enjoyed reading, having lunch with her girlfriends, and playing computer games.

Bert is survived by her two sons; Shawn (Amanda) Gray of Beason and Christopher Gray of Erie, PA; two grandsons Andrew and Jacob Gray and one granddaughter Danielle Gray; two brothers Bruce (Nellie) Curry of Mattoon, IL., and Albert (Dorothy) Curry of Placitas, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, sister Shirley Curry, and an infant brother.
