Obituary
Bonnie Jane Rankin, 79, of Lincoln,
passed away on Thursday April 27, 2023, at Lewis
Memorial Christian Village.
Bonnie was born December 10, 1943, in Middletown,
the daughter of Elmer Vincent and Theresa Fayette
(Bale) Dye. She married Robert Lee “Bob” Rankin on
October 7, 1962, in Middletown, IL. He preceded her
in death on August 31, 2010.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Rebecca (Rick)
Kidd and Robert (Jo) Rankin II; grandchildren,
Stephanie Kidd (Joe), Katlyn (Will) Garrett,
Kristopher Rankin III, Katryna (Forrest) Sardis, and
Kassie (Blaine) Rankin; great-grandchildren, Sydnie
Lee Sanderbeck, Brooklynn Marie Sanderbeck, Julien
Garrett, Elodie Garrett, Bryan Sardis, and Quynn
Sardis; her sister, Patsy Snider; and several nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband;
and one brother, Tom Dye. |
Bonnie was a member of the Middletown
Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed watching
hummingbirds. Bonnie loved to be with her family,
especially her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
Services for Bonnie will be held at 10:30 a.m. on
Tuesday May 9, 2023, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place
the night prior, Monday May 8, 2023, from 4 p.m. to
7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the
service at Lucas Chapel Cemetery in Lincoln.
Memorials may be made in Bonnie’s name to The
American Cancer Society.
