Three Mt. Pulaski Rodeo Athletes
headed to National Competition this summer

Three
young competitors from Mt. Pulaski are headed to the 2023 National
Junior High Rodeo this summer after placing well in the state
competitions.
Junior High Students Zeke Wakeman, Kai Selinger, and Peyton Combs
are three of only 23 rodeo athletes representing Illinois in the
National Competition
In their recent state competitions Wakeman finished first in the
Chute Dogging and fourth in Team Roping.
Selinger finished third in Light Rifle and fifth in Breakaway
Roping.
Combs had to sit out of the state finals for medical reasons but
finished third in Chute Dogging and Fifth in Bull Riding.
All three will travel to Perry Georgia where they will compete
against athletes from all over the United States plus Canada,
Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand.
