Arlee to host Under the Sea Ball, looks to crown Prince or Princess
Special tie-ins for “The Little Mermaid” opening weekend

[May 23, 2023]    To celebrate the opening of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” the Arlee Theater will be hosting an Under the Sea Ball at 1 PM on Saturday, May 27, followed by a 2PM showing of “The Little Mermaid” (2023). Entry to the ball is free with movie admission, and the event will include a photo station, a small souvenir craft, an open dance floor, as well as a costumed friend or two may be in attendance! Mermaid, ocean, or royalty-themed attire is strongly encouraged by all ages. Hair by Brooke Reece, the salon next door to the Arlee, will be open for walk-ins before the ball and will be offering select services including quick updos, hair tinseling, and accessories at great prices.

All showings of “The Little Mermaid” that weekend will also feature themed beverages at the concession stand that tie in with the movie.

Additionally, all weekend long kids ages15 and under can enter in the drawing to be named the Arlee’s Ocean Prince or Princess of the summer. The winning entry will be drawn at 8PM on Monday, May 29, but the winner will not need to be present to win.

The prize for this illustrious title includes a certificate to get a haircut and style at Hair by Brooke Reece, gift certificates to the Arlee Theater and Dari Belle, and of course - a crown! No purchase necessary; entry slips may be requested at the Arlee’s box office during normal operating hours (limit one per person, please).
