Dr.
Kidd came to Lincoln in 1994 to be just the fourth Superintendent of
District 27. It was during Dr. Kidd’s time as Superintendent that
the District successfully passed a referendum to build new schools.
He then managed the construction of the new Central Elementary
School and Lincoln Junior High School buildings. After his
retirement as Superintendent in 2005 Dr. Kidd continued to serve the
district as a board member, Interim Superintendent, and currently,
as District Treasurer.
Robert Kidd has been an ardent and enthusiastic supporter of all
things related to District 27 and well-deserves this recognition.
The District is pleased to designate him an LJHS Honorary Alumni.
In 2012 District 27 formed an
Alumni Recognition Committee to select, recognize, and celebrate
outstanding graduates and persons who have contributed
significantly to the betterment of the District. In previous
years Lester D. Plotner and Wilbur Williams were recognized as
LJHS Honorary Alumni.
