When
that building was torn down, the event was moved to the Holy Family
Food Pantry building. However, the needs at the pantry have
increased to the point that this year there was not enough space
available at the pantry for the ladies. Therefore, because there was
no school on November 1st at CCS, the women were offered the front
entrance area as for the distribution of coats.
This year, there were more than 150 coats provided to
Logan County citizens. The ladies also had on had socks, hats,
gloves, hoodies, blankets, and fresh produce and other miscellaneous
items.
They shared that this year they were touched and excited to be able
to offer one customer whose furnace had gone out the night before,
coat, blankets and other items to help shield her from the cold in
her home while she awaited her furnace being repaired.
