[October 31, 2023]     Community Action Partnership for Central Illinois wants to spread Christmas cheer to kids in their service area. Their Holiday Hearts for Kids campaign is going on now through December 4, 2023.

The campaign will provide gifts for children in need through donations collected by generous community members and organizations. This is the fourth year for the campaign with this year including a goal to serve 75 children. The last three years, CAPCIL was able to provide gifts for 123 children. A variety of sponsorship levels are available. The ability to make a monetary donation of your choice is also an option. Sponsorship levels include Christmas Elf for $50, Christmas Santa for $100, Christmas Angel for $150 and Christmas Mystery is for donor’s choice.

For each $50 donated, one child will receive a gift ($50 value) this Christmas. All gifts will be purchased by CAPCIL staff and volunteers with the funds collected through donations.

“The holidays are typically devoted to giving. People give gifts to their family and friends, give their time to charity, and give monetary donations. As we enter this giving season let’s remember that not all our neighbors are in the same financial position. The stress of the holiday season is real and unbearable for low-income families. If you are able to donate, please do.” Said CAPCIL Executive Director, Jenifer Deweese.
